Aid the silent

Aid the Silent is a Texas-based nonprofit that helps deaf and hard-of-hearing children and teens receive equal access to opportunity by providing financial assistance to enhance communication methods; gain access to education resources; and to improve their overall health, both mental and physical, that leads to individual growth socially, educationally and spiritually.

Aid the Silent strives for equality for the deaf community.

What we’re proud to be a part of:
In 2024, Aid the Silent provided 1,562 life-changing resources and services to families. They also assisted teachers of deaf in public school programs, impacting 528 deaf and hard-of-hearing students.

The mission of the Bulverde Spring Branch Activity Center is to facilitate active aging and enhance the quality of life for older adults in our communities.

Camp Agape

Camp Agape is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children, teens, and families grieving the loss of a loved one. Since its founding in 2000, Camp Agape has provided a safe and nurturing environment where participants can experience healing, hope, and spiritual growth through a blend of therapeutic activities and traditional camp fun.

Their mission is to offer a supportive atmosphere that fosters faith, healing, and hope for children, teens, and families navigating their grief journey. Their vision is a world where everyone has hope after loss.

CASA (Central Texas & San Antonio)

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) are trained volunteers appointed by judges to advocate for the best interests of children who have experienced abuse or neglect and are involved in the child welfare system. In the San Antonio and Central Texas regions, CASA programs play a crucial role in ensuring that these children have a consistent and caring adult to support them through the complexities of the legal and foster care systems.

Last year, 175 kids in our county received support from CASA. That number makes up 91% of the kids in state care within Comal County – there’s still a need for more volunteers!

Children's Hunger Fund

Children’s Hunger Fund is a Christian nonprofit organization dedicated to alleviating child hunger and poverty through partnerships with local churches worldwide. Their mission is to deliver hope to suffering children by equipping local churches for gospel-centered mercy ministry

One of the ways Home Church is actively involved with Children’s Hunger Fund is through their Food Pak program.

The mission of The Family Life Center is to temporarily connect under-resourced and/or unemployed residents of our communities to the assistance provided through the vast network of churches, charities, nonprofit agencies and service organizations as well as corporate sponsors and generous individuals. These programs enable those in need to become self-sufficient, productive members of our community.

New Life Children's Center - Upbring

Upbring is a faith-based non-profit focused on breaking the cycle of abuse by empowering children, families, and communities.

We actively support our local Upbring location – New Life Children’s Center. (There are 85 Upbring locations across Texas)

What we’re proud to be a part of:
In 2024,
– 14,000+ children served through Upbring programs
– 69 girls given a safe place to heal at New Life Children’s Center
– 500 children served through Upbring Foster in Texas
– 45 new foster families verified
– 41 young adults offered transition services be Upbring BeREAL
– 1,365 students and families prepared for kindergarten by Upbring Head Start.

NextTalk

NextTalk is a nonprofit organization committed to helping families navigate the challenges of raising children in a digital age. Their mission centers on fostering open, honest communication within families to equip children with the tools they need to make safe and informed decisions online.

In just the first 5 months of 2025 nextTalk has:

  • Hosted had 17 different events – equipping 682 parents & 600+ students
  • Presented at 2 dual language schools & launched our first ever Spanish resource (with more to come!)
  • Social Media reach 299K! Instagram alone is up 64.5% from 2024.
  • Launched Walker’s Promise & Christian school pilot program

Practicing The Way

Practicing the Way is a nonprofit organization dedicated to equipping individuals and communities with resources for intentional discipleship. This concept emphasizes a holistic approach to spiritual formation, encouraging believers to embody the teachings and lifestyle of Jesus in their daily lives structured around three primary goals: Be with Jesus, become like him, and do as he did.

 

Practicing the Way offers nine core spiritual practices designed to help individuals and communities follow Jesus more intentionally. Each practice includes teachings, guided exercises, and tools to help integrate it into daily life, usually within the context of a small group or church community.
The nine practices are: Sabbath, Prayer, Fasting, Scripture, Solitude, Community, Generosity, Hospitality, and Vocation.

Mission: To assist individuals and families who are struggling to meet the basic needs of day-to-day living, and to improve their quality of life.

Purpose: To serve neighbors who are lacking life’s immediate necessities, and to provide assistance and guidance toward a better life.

Vision: To do much more than help people live day-to-day; to provide families and individuals with the tools and resources necessary to empower them to move toward more productive and responsible living.

Ransomed Life is a faith-based non-profit that educates communities, equips the at-risk, and restores the exploited. This happens through prevention education and counseling services.

What we’re proud to be a part of:

– 152 individuals received counseling/mentorship
– Over 10,600 people participated in their prevention presentations and educational programs.

Real Life Community Outreach

Real Life Community Outreach is a faith-based nonprofit in northeast San Antonio that supports individuals and families through practical assistance and empowerment. They provide food, clothing, vocational training, and kids camps to meet both immediate needs and long-term goals, all while fostering dignity, hope, and community connection.

In 2024, more than 1,000,000 pounds of food was distributed. That’s the equivalent of more than $2.5m, serving more than 80,000 individuals.

The Share Center

Mission: to dignify the family, defend all life, and disciple those we encounter.

Purpose: to provide free medical care and educational support to those experiencing unplanned pregnancies or other sexual health related issues.

 

What we’re proud to be a part of:
Along with the wide range of resources and services the Share Center provides for families – In 2024, they supported the births of 35 babies, 37% of which were at risk for abortion.

The Bible Project

BibleProject is a nonprofit organization that creates free, visually engaging resources to help people experience the Bible as a unified story that leads to Jesus. Through animated videos, podcasts, study guides, and an app, they explore the literary structure, themes, and historical context of Scripture, aiming to make the Bible approachable and transformative for diverse audiences. Their content emphasizes the Bible’s overarching narrative and is designed to be accessible to individuals and communities worldwide.

Everyone we currently support with a focus on international impact.

FIM

We support “Forerunner International Ministries” and their mission to reach people in Vietnam – a country that currently restricts Christian worship and practice.

He does this through starting underground churches and houses of prayer.

Due to the political climate in Vietnam and for the protection of those involved with this ministry, we can’t share details on the impact of our support (number of churches started, how many have been saved/baptized, etc.).

– Had 153 prenatal & 74 post natal visits.

Mission India

We support Mission India’s efforts to plant churches and equip pastors to make Christ known in India.

Since 2015, we’ve given over $200,000 in financial support to Mission India. We are encouraged by the “lifetime impact” of what’s been achieved, directly through our church’s support:
– 119 church planters trained
– 168 churches planted
– 5,629 new believers
– 963 believers baptized

Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ. The organization serves the Church worldwide to promote the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Stay with Ukraine

Based out of Johnson City, TX,  Stay with Ukraine’s mission is to prevent further death among civilians and soldiers in the middle of the war by providing essential life-saving supplies (tourniquets, bandage/dressings, etc.).

There are many conflicting and divisive opinions about the war and the motives, involvement, etc. surrounding it.
Our support is simply for the efforts to save lives.
