Strengthening the Journey with the 4 P’s
Synopsis: The 4 P’s for Foster, Adoptive, and Kinship Families within Home Church
The 4 P’s—Praises, Prayers, Provisions Needed, and Pieces of Information—serve as a powerful guide for supporting foster, adoptive, and kinship families within Home Church. These families often face unique challenges, and the 4 P’s provide a holistic approach to ensure they receive the spiritual, emotional, and practical support they need.
- Praises: Celebrating the joys and victories in the foster, adoptive, and kinship journeys. Whether it’s a child’s progress, a successful family moment, or a milestone reached, praises remind families of God’s faithfulness and the positive moments amidst challenges.
- Prayers: Providing a foundation of prayer for the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of these families. Prayers offer strength, peace, and protection, helping families navigate the complexities of fostering or adopting while leaning on God’s guidance and provision.
- Provisions Needed: Identifying and meeting the practical needs of foster, adoptive, and kinship families. Whether it’s financial assistance, childcare support, or other material resources, the community can step in to provide what is necessary to help the family thrive.
- Piece of Information: Sharing essential information about resources, legal updates, mental health support, and strategies for caregiving. This empowers families with knowledge to make informed decisions and to access the help they need in their journey.
Together, these 4 P’s create a network of support that strengthens the family unit, nurtures the children, and builds a compassionate community of believers. Home Church becomes a sanctuary of love, understanding, and practical assistance for those on the frontlines of fostering, adopting, and kinship care.
Then also, I wanted to add in a prayer request. See below:
PRAYER:
Dear Home Church, we ask for your prayers and support for the Childer’s family during this difficult time. They are facing ongoing sickness, and they need strength, comfort, and healing. Since taking in their two precious boys 4 months ago, they have not gone two weeks without illness in their home.
